Hızla gelişen teknolojinin istenmeyen etkileri, doğal kaynakların sorumsuzca tüketilmesi, doğanın kirletilmesi ve bozulması biçiminde ortaya çıkmaktadır. Gelişmekte olan ülkelerde turistik, kültürel ve sosyo-ekonomik yapı bakımından karayollarının önemi çok fazladır. Yollar, içinden geçtikleri peyzajı bozmadan, onunla uyum içinde, modern trafiğe ve turizm ihtiyaçlarına cevap verebilen bir düzen içinde olmalıdır. Karayolu peyzaj düzenlemeleri yol trafiğe açıldıktan sonra değil, yol güzergâhı seçimi aşaması ile birlikte ele alınmalıdır. Karayollarının yapımı, peyzajın önemli bir öğesi olduğu kabul edilerek ve çevre görsel değerleri sürücü açısından dikkate alınarak sağlanmalıdır. Ayrıca, karayolu ve şev bitkilendirme çalışmalarında (tür seçimi ve bitkilendirme yöntemi) peyzaj planlama prensiplerine dikkat edilmelidir.

The negative affects of technology that grows rapidly is emerging that’s irresponsible consumption of natural resources and in the form of pollution or degradation of nature. In developing countries, tourism, cultural and socio-economic structure in terms of highway is much too important. Highways pass through without disturbing the landscape, in harmony with it, can respond to the needs of modern traffic and tourism must be in order. After the highway opened to traffic, highway landscape, but with the route selection process should be addressed. Construction of highways, the landscape is considered to be an important element of the visual and environmental values in terms of taking into account the driver must be provided. Moreover, highway and slope planting work (type selection and planting method) to the principles of landscape planning should be exercised.
