Geleneksel Elazığ evleri, İzzet Paşa, Aksaray, Kızılay ve Nail Bey mahallesinde yoğunlaşmıştır. Bu evler, genellikle dış ve iç sofalı plan tipinde yapılmıştır. Duvarlarla çevrili avlular, evin arkasında bulunmaktadır. Genellikle iki katlı olan evlerin alt katları ahır, depo, merek ve kiler gibi ihtiyaç birimlerine ayrılmış, üst katlar ise asıl ikamet bölümleri şeklinde düzenlenmiştir. Zemin katlarında büyük taş kemerlerin kullanılması bu yöreye has bir özelliktir. Taş temel üzerine kerpiç duvarlı olan evlerin ara duvarları hımış örgülüdür. Ömer Bey Konağı, Elâzığ’da Aksaray Mahallesi Değirmen Sokak No:4 adresinde bulunmaktadır. Ev, 1931 yılında Tapu Müdürü Ömer Arığ tarafından, Sirkeci Hoca diye bilinen ustaya yaptırılmıştır. Çift kanatlı ahşap cümle kapısı, demir balkonlu cumbası ile dikkat çeken Ömer Arığ evi, iç sofalı plan tipi, yapı malzemesi, ahşaptan oda boyu cumbası ile geleneksel Elazığ evleri ile aynı özelliktedir. Geleneksel Elazığ evlerinde ustası bilinen ender örneklerden biridir. Günümüze sağlam ulaşmış olması bakımından önemlidir.

The Traditional Elazığ houses have been condensed in the quarters of İzzet Paşa, Aksaray, Kızalay and Nail Bey. These houses have especially been constructed with inner and outside hall style. The courtyard that is surrounded with walls is behind the house. The first stroy of the houses which are usually two storied is used as a stable, warehouse or store-room and the second store is used as a living flat. Big stones being used in the enterance of the house is a speciality belonging to this area. The houses which were built on stones are of air dried bricks fort the middle walls. The Omer Bey residence is at the fourth street on Değirmen Street in Aksaray guarter in Elazığ. Omer Arığ, director of the registration office, got Sirkeci Hoca to build the building in 1931. The double floated wooden door with its ironed balcony and hall is the same as the traditional Elazığ houses. It is one of the unique samples of Elazığ houses, whose foreman is known. It is important to reach to the present time with its remaining whole.
