Bu araştırmada; üniversite öğrencilerinin sanat olgusuna yaklaşımları, yaşamlarında müziğin yeri ve müziğe bakış açıları, konu ile ilgili değerlendirmeleri ve genel kapsamla müzik profilleri incelenmiştir. Araştırmada veriler, araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan “yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu” ile toplanmış, elde elden veriler içinde araştırmacının da bulunduğu uzman bir grup tarafından içerik analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda, müziğin üniversite öğrencilerinin yaşamlarında “çok önemli” bir yeri olduğu, planlı bir şekilde uygulanabilecek program ve projelerle öğrencilerin başarılarının artması ile birlikte, sosyal ve kültürel yaşamlarının olumlu yönde etkilenebileceği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca, lisans eğitimi düzeyindeki öğrencilerin ağırlıklı olarak tercih ettikleri müzik türleri, müzikal-sanatsal gelişim yönündeki beklenti ve görüşleri, ulusal kültür sanat politikalarına yaklaşım ve önerileri de araştırmada elde edilen diğer önemli sonuçlar arasındadır.

In this study, university student’s; approach towards art, the place of music in their life and their way of looking into music, their evaluations about the issue and their overall music profile is investigated. The data set in the study is collected through semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher, and the data obtained is evaluated by the help of content analysis performed by the group of experts including the researcher. Based on the findings obtained, it is concluded that; music has an “important place” in the life of university students and it is possible for their success to increase together with a positive effect on their social and cultural life by the help of programme and projects that are applied regularly. Besides, other important findings in the research are; music genres that are mainly preferred by undergraduate students, their expectations and comments about musical-artistic development and their attitude towards national culture and art policies and their recommendations about the issue.
