IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION, MUSIC AND ART (VISUAL ART) COURSES IN TERMS OF INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIALISATION

Art, music and physical education courses are among the lessons supporting the students’ physical, intellectual and mental development, most. These courses are the most contributing lessons to students’ expressing themselves, developing creativity, providing aesthetic development, acquiring self-confidence and recognizing themselves in respect of period. Consequently, it is important that these courses’ being used in accordance with their aims because of qualifications. Within this analyse, it is targeted to determine how primary school teachers teach the physical education, music and art courses, whether these courses are carried out in accordance with their aims or not and the point of view of primary school teachers. This analyse has the quality of scanning model, Methods of literature scanning, interview and observation have been used. The way of assigning segment has not been followed, twelve Primary School, Level I teachers, who admitted to attend on the base of volunteering, have been interviewed. It has been determined that these courses have not been taught in accordance with these aims, can not provide necessary contribution to students’ individual development and socialisation, teachers do not have enough knowledge of teaching these courses and subjects which could not be taught at the right time are thought during these lessons.
