Bu çalışmanın amacı ilköğretim okulu öğretmenlerinin görüşlerine göre okul müdürlerinin hesap verebilirlik davranışları gösterme düzeylerini saptamaktır. Araştırmaya Kastamonu'da ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan 215 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırmada Celep ve Öztürk (2009) tarafından geliştirilen "Okul Müdürünün Hesap Verebilirliği" ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, ilköğretim okulu öğretmenlerinin görüşlerine göre okul yöneticilerinin hesap verebilirliğin sorumluluk, açıklık ve cevap verebilirlik boyutu kapsamına giren davranışlara orta düzeyde uygunluk gösterdikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to determine the level of accountability behaviours of school managers according to the ideas of primary school teachers. The population is consisted of 2154 teachers working in primary schools in Kastamonu. The sample is consisted of 210 teachers who have been chosen randomly. In this study "The Accountability of School Manager" scale which was developed by Celep and Öztürk (2009) was used to determine the accountability behaviours of school managers. According to the results of the study, it seems that school managers' accordance to the responsibility, clarity and respondence behaviours is of medium level.
