Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim sınıf öğretmenleri, fen ve teknoloji öğretmenleri ile Türkçe öğretmenlerinin öğretme stillerini çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2009-2010 öğretim yılında İzmir ili Karabağlar ilçesi ilköğretim okullarında görev yapmakta olan Türkçe, fen ve teknoloji ve sınıf öğretmenleri olmak üzere, toplam 410 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemini ise 132’i kadın, 78’ü erkek olmak üzere random yolla seçilen toplam 210 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır.Buna göre evren, örneklemin %52.50’sini temsil etmektedir. Araştırmanın verileri, dil geçerliği Süral (2010) tarafından yapılan Grasha-Reichmann Öğretme Stilleri Ölçeği (GRTSS, 1994)ile toplanmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, örneklem grubunda yer alan öğretmenlerin sırasıyla rehber öğretme stili başta olmak üzere kişisel, danışman gibi öğrenci merkezli öğretim stilleri tercih ettikleri görülmüştür. Bununla birlikte öğretmenlerin belirli öğretme stilleri ile cinsiyet, yaş, mezun olunan okul türü, kıdem yılı, branşdeğişkenleri arasında anlamlı farklar bulunmuştur.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the teaching styles of primary school teachers, science and techonology teachers and Turkish teachers in terms of different variables. The universe of the study was composed of total 410 from primary school teachers, science and techonology teachers and Turkish teachers,working in Karabaglar district in İzmir in 2009-2010 education year. The sample of the study was composed of total 210 teachers, of which 132 female and 78 male teachers selected randomly. The sample represents 52,50% of the universe. The data was collected by Teaching Style Scale (GRTSS;1994), whose language realibility was done by Süral (2010). According to the findings, the teachers who were in the sample group preferred student-centered teaching styles mostly such as facilitator, personal and delegator styles respectively. In addition, it was observed that teachers’ certain teaching styles had some meaningful changes according to gender, age, graduate school type, year of seniority and branch variables.
