Öğrenmeye ilişkin çeşitli teoriler, öğrenmenin nasıl oluştuğu ve öğrenmenin etkili bir şekilde gerçekleştirilebilmesi için yapılması gerekenleri çeşitli biçimlerde açıklamaktadır. Bu araştırmada, resmi ve özel ilköğretim okullarında öğrenim gören öğrencilerin öğrenmeye ilişkin tutumlarında bir farklılık olup olmadığı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada betimsel yöntem kullanıldığında örneklemi oluşturan öğrencilerin, Kara (2010) tarafından geliştirilen, geçerliği ve güvenirliği yapılmış “Öğrenmeye İlişkin Tutum Ölçeği”ne verdikleri yanıtlar SPSS 15.0 paket programı ile değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan bu değerlendirmelerin sonucunda elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda ilköğretim birinci kademe öğrencilerinin etkili bir öğrenmeyi gerçekleştirebilmeleri için birkaç öneri sunulmuştur.

Various theories about learning explain how learning takes place and what to do to realize an effective learning. The present paper researches tries to find out whether there is a difference between the attitudes of the students attending state schools and private schools towards learning. A descriptive method was used in the research and the answers given by the participants in the sample were analysed with SPSS 15.0. The test instrument “Scale of Attitudes towards Learning” by Kara (2010), of which validity and reliability test were carried out, was used. In the light of the findings, some suggestions were proposed in order that a more effective learning takes place at first level primary education.
