ÖZET Bu araştırmada Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dallarında başlangıç flüt eğitiminde kullanılmakta olan flüt metotlarını incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Metotlarda, başlangıç flüt eğitiminde önemli olan temel davranış ve tekniklere ilişkin açıklayıcı bilgilerin yer alma durumu, söz konusu davranış ve tekniklerin görsel olarak yer alma durumu, hangi müzikal öğelerin ele alındığı tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda, flüt öğretim elemanlarının başlangıç flüt eğitiminde kullandıkları metotlara ilişkin görüşlerini almak üzere anket uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada özetle; metotların yabancı bir dilde yazılmış olduğu, temel davranış ve tekniklere yönelik açıklayıcı bilgilerin büyük bir oranda yer almadığı, görsel şekil, resim ve şemalara yer verildiği yine de bazı konularda eksikliklerin olduğu, Türk ezgilerine hiç yer verilmediği sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

ABSTRACT In this study it is aimed to investigate the elementary level flute education methods used in Music Teacher Training Departments. It has been tried to identify whether or not information on the basic behaviors and techniques oriented towards elementary flute education exist in these methods. It has also been investigated whether or not these behaviors and techniques appear visually and which musical elements are handled. Survey method has been used in this study. In accordance with the aim of the study, a questionnaire has been applied in order to get the opinions of the flute instructors on the methods they use in elementary flute education.
