Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaöğretim fen öğretmenlerinin bilimsel model ve modellemeler hakkındaki görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Araştırma durum saptamaya yönelik betimsel bir araştırmadır. Araştırma esnasında, öğretmenlere, model, modelleme ve modellerin sınıflandırılması hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Çalışma, fen liselerindeki fen öğretmenlerini kapsamaktadır. Araştırmada, beşli likert tipi ölçekli anket, 96 fen öğretmenine uygulanmıştır. Çalışma sonunda fen öğretmenlerinin ders kitaplarındaki modelleri derslerinde sıkça kullandıkları; fakat modellere ait yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadıkları ve bu konuda daha önce eğitim almadıkları saptanmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to find out the views of science teachers at secondary education on scientific model and modellings. The research is a descriptive study to determine the situation. At the same time, models, modelling and the classification of the scientific models was explained for the science teachers. The Study was conducted by accumulating data from number of science teachers from science secondary schools. The research a five-likert-type scale questionnaire was given to 96 science teachers. It was found that the science teachers had been frequently using the models in the textbooks, that they did not know much about the models and that they had received no training on this issue before.
