Bu çalýþmanýn amacý, ilköðretim 7. Sýnýf matematik öðretim programý, ders ve çalýþma kitaplarýnda dörtgenler arasýndaki iliþkilerin nasýl anlatýldýðýný araþtýrmaktýr. Çalýþma analitik araþtýrma desenlerinden doküman analizi yöntemi kullanýlarak gerçekleþtirilmiþtir. Bu baðlamda ilköðretim matematik öðretim programý, 3 ders kitabý ve bu kitaplara ait öðrenci çalýþma kitaplarý incelenmiþtir. Elde edilen bulgulara dayalý olarak dörtgenler arasýndaki iliþkilerin anlatýmýnda sistematik bir yöntemin izlenmediði sonucuna varýlmýþtýr.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the relations between quadrilaterals are explained in the 7th grade elementary school mathematýcs curriculum, textbooks and students’ workbooks. The study was conducted by using one of the analytical research methods called document analyses method. In this context the elementary school mathematics curriculum, 3 textbooks and their students’ workbooks were examined. Based on findings, it is concluded that a systematic method has not been followed in the explanation of relations between quadrilaterals.
