Toplumlarda kültür değişimi, çok uzun soluklu ve yoğun etkileri bulunan bir olaydır. Tarihin doğal akışı içinde kültürel değişmeler de belirli aşamalardan geçerek yavaş yavaş gerçekleşir. Bu değişmeler zamanla kültürel devrim halini alarak karşımıza çıkar. Harf inkılabı modern Türkiye'nin tam ve eksiksiz bir şekilde ortaya çıkabilmesinin dayanak noktası olmuştur. “Atatürk Dönemi Alfabe Çalışmaları ve Falih Rıfkı Atay” adlı çalışmamızın temelinde alfabe değişikliği sürecinde meydana gelen olayları ortaya çıkararak bu alanla ilgili çalışma yapacak kişilerin hizmetine sunmaktır. Bu çalışmamızda öncelikle alfabe nedir, sorusuna cevap aradık. Daha sonra Arap harflerinin toplum için öneminden bahsettik ve bu harflerin kültürel bir bağlantı değeri taşıdığını ortaya koyduk. Çalışmamızın ilerleyen bölümlerinde harf inkılabının gerekçeleri üzerinde durduk. Alfabe değiştirmenin ne demek olduğunu anlattık. Alfabe değiştirmeye tesir eden sebepleri üç madde halinde aktardık.

In societies the change of culture is very long-running case which has intense effects. Cultural changes happen gradually in the natural course of history by experiencing certain phases. We face these changes as a cultural revolution in time. Alphabet reform become the mainstay of complete and definitive foundation of Turkey. The heart of our work “The work of alphabet reform of Ataturk period and Falih Rıfkı Atay” is to reveal the events taking place in the course of alphabet change and bring these events into use of people who will perform works about this field. In this work we first look for an answer to the question of what the alphabet is. Afterwards we mention about the importance of Arabic Letters for the society and we present that these letters have a cultural connection value. In the next parts of our work we emphasize on the motives of alphabet reform. We mention about what to change alphabet is. We give the motives which necessitate the change of alphabet as three items.
