Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiyeâ€â„¢deki bilişim teknolojileri öğretmenlerinin mesleklerinden memnuniyetini ölçmek ve kişiliğin memnuniyet düzeyi ile olan ilişkisini incelemektir. Holland ve Eşitlik Teorisi çalışmanın teorik çerçevesini oluşturdu. Çalışmaya Türkiyeâ€â„¢nin çeşitli yerlerinden 121 bilişim teknolojileri öğretmeni katıldı. Sonuçlar bilişim teknoloji öğretmenlerinin mesleki memnuniyetlerinin düşük olduğunu ve gerçekçi kişiliğin memnuniyetle istatistikî olarak anlamlı ilişkili olduğunu ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu sonuçlara dayalı olarak gerçekçi kişiliğe sahip bireyler için bilişim teknolojileri öğretmenliğinin ideal bir meslek olduğu söylenebilir.

The main purpose of the current study was to examine vocational satisfaction of information technology teachers and the role of personality on their satisfaction. Holland and Equity theories served as the theoretical frameworks for the current study. Participants were 121 information technology teachers in Turkey. Results indicated that the vocational satisfaction of information technology teachers were low and satisfaction was significantly related to satisfaction. Based on these results, the profession of information technology teaching seems to be an ideal career for those with realistic personality traits.
