Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, ilköğretim bölümü sınıf öğretmenliği öğrencilerinin “Sanat Eğitimi Dersi†kavramına ilişkin sahip oldukları algıların, metafor aracılığı ile ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Fatih Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Bölümü Sınıf Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalında, 2011–2012 eğitim- öğretim yılı bahar dönemi ikinci sınıfta “Sanat Eğitimi†dersi alan örgün ve ikinci öğretimden toplam 134 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin toplanabilmesi için her öğrenciye “Sanat Eğitimi Dersi ... gibidir; çünkü ... †cümlesi yöneltilmiş ve boşlukların doldurulması istenmiştir. The aim of this study was to reveal the perceptions of elementary classroom teacher candidates about “art education lessons†by analyzing their metaphors. The subject group consisted of 134 sophomore students,who took art education classes (both formal and evening lessons) at the Division of Elementary School Classroom Education in Fatih Faculty of Education at Karadeniz Technical University, during the academic year 2011/2012.Data was gathered by asking the students to complete the following sentences and fill in the blanks: “Art education lesson is like…Because…â€.This study sought to find answers tothe following questions: “What are the metaphors of classroom teacher candidates about “art education lesson?â€, “Which conceptual categories can be used to classify the metaphors of classroom teacher candidates’ about ‘art education lesson’?â€.
