Bu araştırmanın amacı ilköğretim ikinci kademe öğrencilerinin bilişüstü yetileri ile başarı yönelimlerini incelemektir. Araştırmaya 2011–2012 öğretim yılında Bingöl il merkezinde bulunan 7 ilköğretim okulunda 6, 7 ve 8. sınıflarda öğrenim gören toplam 1000 (520 kız, 480 erkek) öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri Bilişüstü Yeti Envanteri (BYE) ve Başarı Yönelimleri Ölçeği (BYÖ) ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin analizinde SPSS-16.0 yazılımı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, İlişkisiz Örneklemler t-Testi, Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi, Dunnet C, Pearson Momentler Çarpım Korelasyon Katsayısı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda ilköğretim ikinci kademe öğrencilerinin bilişüstü yetilerinin sınıf düzeyine ve cinsiyete göre farklılık gösterdiği, öğrencilerin başarı yönelimlerinin sınıf düzeyine ve cinsiyete göre farklılık gösterdiği ve bilişüstü yeti ile başarı yönelimleri arasında anlamlı düzeyde ilişkinin olduğu saptanmıştır.

The purpose of this research is to examine achievement goal orientations of the secondary education students of elementary school and their metacognitive awareness. Totally 1000 students (520 females and 480 males) who received education at 6th, 7th and 8th grades in 7 elementary schools at the centre of Bingöl province at the 2011-2012 school year participated in the research. The data of the research was collected by Metacognitive Awareness Inventory and Achievement Goal Orientations Scale. SPSS-16.0 software was used in the analysis of research data. Independent Samples t-test, One Way Variance Analysis, Dunnet C, Pearson Correlation Coefficient were used in the analysis of data. At the end of research, it was detected that metacognitive awareness of the elementary school secondary education students were differ according to grade levels and gender, achievement goal orientations of students were differ according to grade levels, and there was a significant relation between metacogni
