Bu çalışmada, 5E modelinin, ilköğretim 7. Sınıf öğrencilerinin müzik dersinde ´müziksel algı ve bilgilenme` öğrenme alanına ilişkin akademik başarı ve kalıcılık (öğrenilenleri hatırlama) düzeyleri üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla araştırmada, ön test - son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel model kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada İlköğretim Müzik Dersi Öğretim Programı´nın 7. sınıf müzik dersinde yer alan `Müzikte Dizileri Öğreniyorum` konusu ve kazanımları doğrultusunda üç hafta süren bir uygulama yapılmıştır. Uygulama sürecinde deney grubunda dersler 5E modeline göre araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen etkinliklerle, kontrol grubunda ise İlköğretim 2006 Müzik Öğretim Programı Öğretmen Kılavuz Kitabı´nda yer alan öğretim yöntem ve teknikleri ile işlenmiştir. In this study, the impact of 5E model on the 7th grade students` academic success and retention of knowledge in the field of `musical perception and information` are investigated. To this end, this research employed semi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group. In the study, a three-week practice was followed in consistent with the topic `I am learning the major, minor scales and Turkish modes in music´ and the gaining of the 7th grade music lesson in the Primary School Music Lesson Educational Curriculum. During the practice, the lessons for the experimental group were taught using the activities developed by the researcher according to the 5E model, whereas the lessons for the control group were presented using the teaching methods stated in the 2006 Teacher Guide of Music Teaching Curriculum.
