KİTAP OKUMAYA YÖNELİK TUTUM ÖLÇEĞİ: GEÇERLİK VE GÜVENİRLİK ÇALIŞMASI

Okuma tutumu, okuma başarısını etkileyen faktörlerden biridir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen adayları için geçerlik ve güvenirliği yüksek bir kitap okumaya yönelik tutum ölçeğini geliştirmektir. Ölçek geliştirme sürecinde yapılan geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları kapsamında araştırmaya 1228 öğretmen adayı dâhil edilmiştir. Ölçeğin, açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda dört boyutlu bir yapıya sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu boyutlar kitap okuma sevgisi, kitap okumanın yararları, kitap okumada isteksizlik ve stres ile kitap okumada sorunlar ve engellerdir. Ölçekte toplam 36 madde yer almaktadır. Ölçeğin ölçüt bağıntılı geçerliliği de incelenmiş, pozitif yönde ve anlamlı olduğu bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin güvenirliğini belirlemek için iç tutarlığı, iki yarı güvenirliği ve madde analizi kullanılmıştır. Ölçeğin tümüne ilişkin iç tutarlık katsayısı .95 olarak bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin hem alt boyutlar hem de toplam puan açısından iki yarı güvenirliğe sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Kitap Okumaya Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği’nin geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışma sonuçlarının iyi düzeyde olduğu saptanmıştır.

ATTITUDE SCALE TOWARDS READING: VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY STUDY

Reading attitude is one of the factors influencing reading achievement. The purpose of this study was to develop a scale with high reliability and validity in order to determine prospective teachers’ attitudes towards reading. Within the scope of the validity and reliability studies carried out, a total of 1228 students were involved in the research. As a result of the exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, the scale was found to have a four-factor structure. These dimensions are love of reading, the benefits of reading, the reluctance and stress in reading and the problems and obstacles in reading. There are totally 36 items on the scale. To determine the reliability of the scale; internal consistency, split-half reliability and item analysis reliability methods were used. The internal consistency coefficient regarding the whole scale was found to be .95. The results of the validity and reliability studies were found to be at a good level.
