Edebiyat ve sanatta postmodern anlayışla ortaya pek çok algı biçimi çıktı. Bunlardan biri de alımlama estetiğidir. Okuru pasif yapısından çıkarıp metne dahil eden bu anlayış; temelde eserdeki boş alanları doldurma üzerine kuruludur. Üretken bir kimlikle okurun metni yeniden tanımlamasıdır. Beklenti ufuklarının, okuma merkezli olarak yeniden yorumlanmasıdır. Dolayısıyla okunan her metin, yeni anlam öbekleri ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Türk edebiyatı yapıtları da bu geniş okuma/alımlama edimiyle yeni bakış açıları kazanabilir.

Several ways of perception occured as a result of the post-modern conception in literature and arts. This conception, which converys the reader from his/her passive position to the plot, defends on completing the missing points in the written work. In other words it means a new definition of the text made by the reader and a reading-centered definition of the horizons of expectations. Consequently after being read each text gives a different range of meaning. Turkish literary works can have a new point of view by this broad acquisition of reading.
