GÖKKUŞAĞI ALABALIĞI, Oncorhynchus mykiss, (Walbaum, 1792)’nın BAZI KAN PARAMETRELERİNE PROPOLİSİN ETKİSİNİN ARAŞTIRILMASI

Bu çalışmada; gökkuşağı alabalığı (O. mykiss)' nda bazı hematolojik parametrelere propolisin etkisi incelendi. Araştırmada; ortalama ağırlığı 153,09 ± 20,86 g olan toplam 60 adet gökkuşağı alabalığı kullanıldı. Propolisin 5g ve 10g'lık dozları yemle karıştırıldı ve balıklara 28 gün süreyle verildi. Uygulamanın 7., 14. ve 28. gününde kontrol ve deney balıklarının kuyruk venasından alınan kanda eritrosit ve lökosit sayısı, hematokrit ve lökokrit değeri, hemoglobin miktarı ve eritrosit indeksleri (MCV, MCH, MCHC) saptandı. Araştırma sonunda; propolis uygulanan balıkların hematokrit değeri(p>0,05), hemoglobin miktarı (p>0,01) ve eritrosit indekslerinde (p>0,001) istatistikî olarak önemli bir değişim görülmedi. Ancak eritrosit sayısında (p<0,05), lökosit sayısı (p<0,01) ve lökokrit değerlerindeki (p<0,001) farklılık istatistikî olarak önemli bulundu.

THE EFFECT OF PROPOLIS ON SOME BLOOD PARAMETERS OF RAINBOW TROUT, Oncorhynchus mykiss, (Walbaum, 1792)

In this study, the effects of propolis on some blood parameters of rainbow trout (O. mykiss) were examined. Total 60 rainbow trout (averagely weighted 153.09 ± 20.86 g) were used in the present study. The amounts of 5 and 10g propolis were mixed with food and given to fish. Blood samples were taken from the caudal vena of control and experimental fish in 7., 14. and 28. days. Haematocrit and leucocrit levels, numbers of erythrocyte and leucocyte, hemoglobin level and erythrocyte indexes (MCV, MCH and MCHC) were determined. There were no statistically significant changes in hematocrit levels (p>0.05), haemoglobin levels (p>0.01) and erythrocyte indexes (p>0.001) of fish exposed to propolis. However, there were statistically significant differences in erythrocyte numbers (p<0.05), leukocyte numbers (p<0.01) and leucocrit levels (p<0.001).
