Türküler, Türk toplumunun özelliklerini, tarihini, gelenek ve göreneklerini en güzel şekilde yansıtan unsurlardandır. İnsana ait tüm duyguları içeren türküler, aynı zamanda Türk toplumunun kültürel ve sosyo-ekonomik yaşamını yansıtan değerlerdir. Belgesel tarama niteliğindeki bu çalışmada, Türkü kavramı, toplumsal olay, olgu ve durumların Türkülere yansıyışı konularına değinildikten sonra, “Gurbet”, “Askerlik, Savaş ve Kahramanlık”, “Hapishane, Eşkıyalık ve Başkaldırı”, “Ninniler”, “Ağıtlar” ve “İş Türküleri” konu başlıkları toplumsal dayanakları ve nedenleri açısından incelenmiştir.Araştırmanın sonucunda sözü edilen halk kültürü ürünlerinin şekillenmesinde önemli rol oynayan toplumsal olaylar saptanarak,çeşitli çıkarımlarda bulunulmuştur.

Turkus (Turkish folk music works) reflect, Turkish society’s features, history, traditions and customs. Turkus include all the emotion of a human. As the same time, Turkus reflect Turkish society’s cultural and socio-economic life. With this study that has the characteristic of descriptive research, the concept of Turku and social events, facts and circumstances effects on Turkus have been emphasized. Then, “Longing”, “Soldiery, war and heroism”, “Prison, banditiry and rebellion”, “Lullabies”, “Wails” and “The folk songs about job” have been investigated in terms of social bases and the reasons. At the end of the research, social events which is important in folk culture products have been determined and inferences were made.
