Bu çalışmanın amacı, fen bilimleri dersinde proje tabanlı öğrenme yaklaşımının (PTÖY) ilkokul 4. sınıfta öğrenim görmekte olan hafif düzeyde zihinsel engele sahip öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına ve tutumlarına etkisini tespit etmektir. Araştırmada deneme öncesi modellerden tek grup ön test son test deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını Pupa Öğrenci Entegrasyon Birimi’ne gelen 4. sınıf hafif düzeyde zihinsel engele sahip 8 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada nitel ve nicel veri toplama araçları kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada öğrencilere “Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi Başarı Testiâ€, “Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi Tutum Ölçeği†ve “Kavram Kazanım Görüşme Formu†ön test – son test olarak uygulanmıştır. ..

EFFECTS OF THE PROJECT-BASED LEARNING APPROACHES ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AND ATTITUDE OF STUDENTS STUDYING AT PRIMARY SCHOOL WITH MILD MENTAL RETARDATION IN SCIENCES COURSE

The aim of this study is to determine effects of the project-based learning approaches on academic achievement and attitude of students studying at primary school with mild mental retardation (MMR) in sciences course. In the study, pre test-post test design, one group of pre-trial model, was used. The participants of the research consisted of 8 students with MMR. To the students at the study,"Science and Technology Achievement Test", "Science and Technology Attitude Scale" and Concept Acquisition Interview pretest-posttest was applied. The data obtained from the achievement test and attitude scale were analyzed by using rank test signed non-parametric Wilcoxon on SPSS 16.0 software.
