Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim yedinci sınıf çokgenler konusunda çoklu zekâ kuramına göre geliştirilen etkinliklerin öğrenci başarısına etkisini incelemektir. Çalışma 2006-2007 eğitim-öğretim yılının bahar döneminde 24’ü deney ve 24’ü kontrol grubunda olmak üzere toplam 48 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel model kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda çoklu zekâ kuramına göre geliştirilen etkinliklerin öğrencilerin başarısını daha çok artırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna bağlı olarak etkili ve başarılı öğrenme için öğrencilerin farklı zekâ alanlarını dikkate alarak etkinliklerin geliştirilmesi önerilebilir.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of activities developed based on multiple intelligences theory on students’ achievement in polygons topic at the primary education 7th grade. The study was carried out with on 48 students totally, 24 students from the experimental group, and 24 students from the control group in the spring term of the 2006-2007 academic years. In this study half-experimental pattern with pre-test and post-test control group was used. The results of this study showed that the activities developed based on the multiple intelligences theory have had a positive effect on the students’ achievement. As connected with this research results, some suggestions were provided developed activity to mathematics learning more effective and successful.
