Bu araştırmada amaç, Hayat Bilgisi dersi öğretim programında yer alan değerlerle ilgili velilerin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu ilköğretim birinci kademede okuyan 75 öğrenci velisi oluşturmaktadır. Tarama modelinde olan bu araştırmanın verileri değerler hakkında oluşturulan anketin uygulanması ile elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler nicel ve nitel olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçta, velilerin programda yer alan değerler dışında farklı değerlere de eğitimde yer verilmesi gerektiğini düşündükleri belirlenmiştir. Diğer yandan değer eğitiminin başta ailede olmak üzere okulda ve öğretmenler tarafından kazandırılması öngörülmüştür.

This study aims to reveal parent’s views on the values included in the curriculum of Life Studies course. The study group is composed of the parents of 75 elementary school 1st grade students. The study employs survey model, and research data are obtained by conducting a survey about the said values. The data obtained from the survey are evaluated in quantitative and qualitative terms. It is concluded that; values other than the ones included in the curriculum should also be employed according to the parents involved in the study. On the other hand, it is anticipated that; values education should be provided by schools and teachers and particularly by families in the first place.
