Bu araştırmanın amacı, orta öğretim kurumlarının okul stratejik planlarında yer alan stratejik amaçların neler olduğunu tespit etmek ve stratejik amaçlara ve hedeflere ulaşılma düzeylerini ortaya koymaktır. Nitel bir araştırmadır. Nitel araştırmalardan durum çalışmasıdır. Çalışma grubu Osmaniye ilindeki 12 ilköğretim okulundan oluşmaktadır. Veriler görüşme yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Görüşme yöntemlerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği uygulanmıştır. 12 okul müdürü ile görüşme yapılmıştır. Veriler paket program (Nvivo 8) kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Okul stratejik planlarında yer alan amaçların; akademik başarı, sosyal etkinlikler ve fiziksel ihtiyaçlar kategorilerinden oluştuğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Okulların, mesleki rehberliğin yapılması ve teknolojik alt yapının geliştirilmesinde kısa ve orta süreli hedeflerine genellikle ulaştıkları saptanmıştır. Stratejik planların temelini, öğrencinin akademik gelişimine katkıda bulunmak olduğu görülmektedir. Stratejik planlamada öncelikle öğrencilerin zihinsel bedensel ve ruhsal gelişimine katkı sağlanması hedeflenmektedir.

The purpose of this study is, in secondary schools in the province of Osmaniye, to identify the school's strategic plans and to determine to what extend the levels have been reachedIn this article that can be considered as a qualitative research, is discussed, in the province of Osmaniye, the contents of high schools’ the strategic plans and their reaching level. To do this, open-ended semi-structured interview form has been prepared by researchers and we have interviewed with 12 schools leader face to face. The data package program (Nvivo 8) have been used in the process of analysing data. We have reached the conclusion that the objectives of strategic plans of the school consist of the categories of physical needs, academic achievement, and social events. Strategic plans usually include aims to improve academic success at school and a number of activities planned help students, in the process of the preparation of university exams. In addition, the school's strategic plans contain some aims and objectives in the area of student's social development. Strategic planning is aimed primarily at contributing to students' mental and physical the development.
