THE PERCEPTIONS OF TEACHERS’ ABOUT THE BEHAVIOURS OF ELEMANTARY SCHOOL SUPERVISORS ON CONTEMPORARY EDUCATIONAL SUPERVISION PRINCIPLES AND CLINICAL SUPERVISION

The objective of this study is to find out the perceptions of teachers’ about the behaviours of Elemantary School Supervisors on Contemporary Educational Supervision Principles and Clinical Supervision and thus to determine whether the perceptions of teachers show statistically significant differences according to their individual variables. The population of the study consists of public elementary school teachers working in the European side of Istanbul. The sample size of the study consisted of 30 schools from five different counties which were randomly selected by considering the size of the schools in terms of the number of teachers. The number of the teachers who actively participated in this study amounts to 634 teachers. According to results of the study, mean scores on the perceptions of teachers’ about the behaviours of Elemantary School Supervisors concerning Contemporary Educational Supervision Principles and Clinical Supervision resulted in moderate mean which means “I moderately agree”.
