ILKÖGRETIM MATEMATIK ÖGRETMEN ADAYLARININ ISPAT VE ISPAT YAPMAYA YÖNELIK TUTUMLARI

Bu çalismada, ilkögretim matematik egitimi ögretmen adaylarinin ispat ve ispat yapmaya yönelik tutumlarini belirlemek amaciyla tarama modeli kullanilmistir. Morali ve digerlerinin (2006), Almeida’ nin çalismasinda gelistirdikleri anket ve literatür dogrultusunda ispat ve ispat yapmaya yönelik bir tutum ölçegi gelistirilmistir. Ölçegin yapi geçerligi üç yolla yapilmistir: (1)faktör analizi, (2)madde-toplam korelâsyonu ve (3)maddelerin ayirt edicilik özelligi ve iki faktör tespit edilmistir: “ispat yapmaya yönelik tutum” ve “ispata yönelik genel bakis”. Ölçegin Cronbach Alpha güvenirlik katsayisi .897 olarak bulunmustur ve bu deger ölçegin güvenilir oldugunu göstermistir. Verileri analiz etmek amaciyla SPSS 12.0 paket programindaki bagimsiz örneklemler için t-testi ve Manova kullanilmistir. t- testi sonucunda sinif düzeyi ve cinsiyetin ögretmen adaylarinin ispat ve ispat yapmaya yönelik tutum puanlari üzerinde etkili oldugu görülmüstür. ELEMENTARY MATHEMATICS TEACHER CANDIDATES’ ATTITUDES TOWARDS PROOF AND PROVING

In this research, in order to determine the opinions of teacher candidates from elementary mathematics education towards mathematical proof and proving, identification of situation was madeAn attitude scale towards mathematical proof and proving was developed through the survey which Morali et al. (2006) developed from Almeida’s study and literature. Validity of construction of the scale was done in three ways: (1) factor analysis, (2)item-total correlation and (3) distinctiveness of items and two factors were determined: “attitude towards proving” and “general aspect to the proof”. Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the scale was found as 0.897 and this value demonstrated that the scale was reliable. To analyze the data t-test for independent samples and MANOVA in SPSS 12.0 package program were used. By the t-test for independent samples it was seen that school year and gender were effective on the scores taken from attitude scale of teacher candidates. According to the MANOVA
